Greetings peoples!

Anyone know where I can get a reverse keyboard/mouse switchbox? I'm moving into a new apartment in a few weeks. As a result, my TV and computer will end up on opposite sides of the room. I want to set up two keyboards/mice, one each at the computer and TV, so that I can have the necessary control for the DVD software when watching a movie. All the switchboxes I've found have been for MIS/LAN setups - one keyboard/mouse, multiple computers.

Any suggestions?

Yep http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Head on over to Cybex (http://www.cybex.com) Be prepared they are not the cheapest but they do make the best kvm switching in the industry.

I bought one for my wife to use at her office two monitors, two keyboards, two mouse. Auto or manual switching. actually designed to let two people that have light usuage share a PC. Not cheap, about 150 I think. I don't remember who I ordered from, my wife is going to look tomorrow, so I will post for you. I looked for a while and it was the only one I found, but maybe someone knows of others.

Thanks, but I was hoping for something a little cheaper. I can get a standalone DVD player for $200 or so, and both your solutions are coming out to the same price range. I was looking to come away for $50 to $75, including patch cables. I have spare mice and keyboards already.

I was right on price it is made by aten, cs-221. http://www.aten-usa.com/ Why couldn't you just use a manual switch box, about $22, see http://www.cablesnmor.com/switch.html

I don't care if it's manual or auto, I just don't feel like spending my life savings on it. I'm not running an MIS department, just trying to solve a simple room arrangement problem, so I don't need anything fancy.
