- 5 volts jumping around and I'm getting alarms when I open programs/ use the mous

ok just got a new ATX case and a Asus P5A mother board Asus probe the mobo monitor programs is giving me errors when I open programs and use the mouse espeacialy of rain is running the -5 volts will jump to -5.5 or lower plus I just lost a floppy drive it started makeing all kinds of noise sounded like a fan with somthing stuck in it ? and this board will not over clock when I try the voltage just get worse

so what does the -5 volts do and could it be the mother board or the power supply thats to blame ?

never mind fixed it my self swaped power supply with another machine the one in mine was F@#D UP ! brand new case and PS to go figure and not a el cheap Oh.
