I have a ModemBlaster 5601 and when I connect a telephone into the modem output jack, I hear a radio station in the background??? The caller on the other line doesn't hear it, just me? Anybody???? Thanks!

It means you have a dirty phone line, call the phone company, you are getting interference from outside, it has nothing 2 do with your modem or computer for that matter.

heard of this before, and basically you have a short in the phone line, and have in fact created a super reciver, locked on a single wave length, usually short wave, and that is why you hear the signal, your phone line is the conductor for the signal and you should contact the phone company.

I am surprised that you cannot hear it through your speakers too !

I had this happen before. If you are very close to a powerful radio station, any amplified circuit will pick it up. If this is the problem, the answer is to call the station and tell them what's happening, they'll put filters on everything that's picking it up. No cost solution.
Good Luck, Jeff
