Hi,
I've been having problems with my DVD player reading DVDs so I decided to download some DVD drivers (the panasonic ones) and Adaptec's latest ASPI update. I installed both at the same time, and when I rebooted the system hung during the loading of Win98.
I removed the updated DVD drivers in safe mode, rebooted and the same thing happenned.
Now I'm left with the new ASPI drivers that have hung my system (reminiscent of when I had WinOnCD and Nero installed at the same time).
Any ideas? I know that the ASPI32 that I downloaded from Adaptec updates the drivers: WINASPI.DLL, WNASPI32.DLL, APIX.VXD, ASPIENUM.VXD, ASPI32.SYS, and WOWPOST.EXE.
So what do I do now? If I have to overwrite these with the original Win98 versions, how do I get them off the Win98 CD?
Thanks in advance for any help....
Rich
