Windows 98 will support scanner connected to LPT2. NT4 will only support SCSI scanners. Question is, does Windows 2000 support parallel scanners (other than pass through ports) or only SCSI?

I don't have Win2k so I can't give you an answer regarding it's functionality but I beg to differ regarding your statement about NT. My Parallel port scanner works fine under NT. NT does NOT support parallel port BiDirectional communication (BIDI)even if the bios does, however BiDi is not a requirement for "all" parallel port scanners.
