It must be hard living in a country where fresh seafood has to be imported from a fish farm in Thailand..
Try buying them for yourself, and let the cat eat any scraps you leave.

Whoa ......... Basics here ......... 60+ Million on a island the size of a postage stamp ........... Surrounding sea a mixture of the products of 60+ million pee's & poo's with a few subs nippin up to HMS Faslane & the water is used as coolant to numerous nuclear power stations, sensibly located on the coast.

Back when I was a lad, and boxes were weighed in hundred weights, I used to live in Darwin.
Anyways, Fred a mate of ours used to work on the prawn trawlers, fishing in the Arafura sea, and the gulf of Carpentaria.
When the season was over, he worked in the prawn factory, and every week would bring a cwt box of raw tiger prawns home, and Dennis worked at the abattoir and would bring home a cwt box of buffalo steak.
That was before they fished out all the prawns, and shot all the buffalo for destroying the environment.
I remember big herds of them.

Things were better back then.

Your right ...... Things were better before the place had been fished to within a inch of its life & shot to extinction...... I dunno where our fish goes, cos if yas looks in tha supermarket its like 90% imported....... The fishermen say whoa we only catch the best fish its expensive.... Me finks fishermen are like farmers, ie moanin' gits...... I dunno bout you, but I have fish once a week & thats about it maybe twice, but thats rare ........ So I dunno where our fish goes :t

What's 60 million human dumps when you've got 100 billion fish, porpoises, whales and shellfish dumping in the ocean all day long? Who knows where THEY'VE been? The cooling water is the safest part of the ocean. If there's any radiation in it at all (I doubt it) it's killing bacteria.

Ya just don't eat out of the toilet its a no no ........ It isn't so much the power stations that concern me, more the incoming & leaving Submarines ........ But if you were to scoop up a glass of our coastal water & have a look at it ......... Ya wouldn't even be tempted to paddle in it .....

The gov't say woo we have this & that & this & one of the other....... But I went out to the water the other week wiv a glass jar & ya still couldn't see your hand thro 3" of water ......... It doesn't matter what is said & by whoever ........ Its dirty ...... Ok perhaps it ain't as dirty as it was, but its still dirty, & ya has no buisness being in the water, let alone eating anything outta it.

I dunno nuffink bout the sea....... Other than ours is cold stinky & poisonous........ The Sea around New Zealand is cold, clear & full of funny coloured fish....... Some wiv teeth :eek:
