I'm assuming you actually have a hard drive connected to the SCSI card, it's terminated correctly on the cable, it has an OS on it, the drive spins when powered, and you have the BIOS set to allow boot off the SCSI.....

As a SCSI boot is not "standard" for the VAST majority of systems - I'd look to see if the CMOS battery was still any good - Otherwise, each time you powered the system up - it would default to an IDE boot - finding nothing there - it'd stay dead....

Are you getting any beeps on start-up? Is your RAM still there and does it post & pass check?

That may clear a cob-web or two - If the answer is not there, then send us a whole slew of details, only thing we really don't care about is what color the case is.

Did you flash the BIOS lately - botching that would be bad......

Just an Idea
ro into setup and make sure the boot device (not sure what sequence your running)for the hdd is set to scsi if it's a scsi hdd
also when booting, when the scsi bios starts to load hold down ctr+a to get into scsi utilities to check your wettings there
hope this helps
Sincerely

Vincent

If all above fails, try the 2940 in PCI slot 2 or 3.
