I HAVE A Creative PC-DVD Encore 6X with Dxr3 - Model MK5004. I REALLY LIKE IT BUT MY PROBLEM IS THE AUDIO LOSES SYNC WITH THE VIDEO. THIS SEEMS TO HAPPEN ABOUT HALF WAY THROUGH A MOVIE. I HAVE ALL UPDATED DRIVERS. COULD IT BE A RAM THING. I AM RUNNING A K6-2 450 W/ 128MB RAM. 20 GB HD AND SB LIVE SOUND CARD AND WIN 98 SE. EVERYTHING PERFORMS PERFECT EXCEPT THIS. HELP......

I have found a similar problem but only when I paly a movie in standard format. In widescreen I have not had the problem. I have nearly the same set up. Encore 8x Dxr3, SB Live!, AMDK62-400, 320meg of RAM (so it is not a RAM problem) and WIN98FE. I dropped a line to CL and have heard nothing back. I know the same thing happens on some home systems so it must be in the decoding.

Not much help except to let you know I have a seen the problem, too.

Thanks for the info. I will still likely add another 128mb chip. I am sure I will benifit from it some how.

If you find out anything from Creative Labs let me know?
