do you have a second fan to test your boards with? it might be that the new fan failed for some reason, and if you can determine that to be true. then you need to speak to globalwin about getting a replacement....

Given that I don't need all of the power supply leads, I'll reserve one for nothing but fans. Depending on how much I have in a box, I run 2 to 4 fans.

I don't like going through the motherboard. Usually these leads attach to some sort of temp sensor that turns on when the case gets hot - you may have a faulty temp sensor on the board., That, or, with the case off, it stays cool enough not to turn on the fan.

With the fan always on, I don't have to worry about a temp sensor giving out ont he board.

I also put fans on such things as high speed SCSI drives to keep them a bit cooler and draw the heat they make away from the chip sets on the board.

Hello, I have an OEM manufactured motherboard by BCM which is the same as a micronics C400. Well, I had this board running perfect and the CPU GlobalWin FEP32 fan worked perfect off of the connector on the board. I got a second board and went to hook the cpu FEP32 fan up on this board and the fan would not work. I hooked the fan up to my other motherboard which was working perfect and the fan would not work on that connector either. When I put the old fan back on the other motherboard, the fan would not work. Now, I have two motherboards that work fine except that the fan connectors just don't work. I have no idea what is wrong with them. I don't see how the other one quit working. Anyone heard of this and know how to rememdy it. Did I burn out something on my board? Please help!
