Mines a 36 inch Sony, CRT type. It's huge, weighs around 250lbs though, you don't move it around much. Piccy is fantastic though. Those projection types suck. I haven't invested in an LCD or plasma one yet. Too costly

What was it Sony Trinitron? ........ Maybe they updated ......... Its been years since I was in to that kinda stuff..... I (Many many eons ago) Worked in a shop sellin' TV & Hi Fi etc etc ....... Gawd the audio CD just came out when I was doin' that ........ Scheesh Noah was a lad back then ........ Betamax VCR's were brill (Well Sony C9's were) the HUGE "FO" Lazer disks were out ya know the 12" ones :eek: Where the movies on tha disks were more expensive than buying ya own Multiplex :D ........ Someone invented Dolby C ....... Yas could get DBX encded vynal records (Now that was a shizz idea) Noise reduction fer Lp's ....... Maan yas had to be posh (& a DH) to get that.......

I remember we gots a Sony TV from them the "Profeel" ....... Twas TV but seperates like yas stereo system ...... It came as a Monitor,Speakers,TV Tuner, Teletext adaptor ..... Scheesh yas coud waste money on owt in them days :t

It's a Sony Wega system. The tube is based on the trinitron but much improved, Totally flat, no curvature at all. Has a load of input output jacks, it's 1080i or the old style low res, automatically detects. My HD cable box is connected with the RCA jack cables for HD, the sound I pipe off to the 5.1 surround stereo. Sounds great too. Still, with all those channels there's carp on worth watching.

I not got HD receiver yet ...... Toooo Ferkin dear here ....... & most of it is subscription view ...... Their is some FTA (Free to air) HD but only two channels & its satelitte so new reciever box fer that required £150 a pop....... Which is acre really. ...... DO I need HD wiv 19" ? ..... I don't fink so ......... Do I need a subscription service on top of my TV licence fee (£142.50/$210.00) & everything else I gots ...... Nope ......... Mind you I really should have a look to see what my Cable ISP can give me TV wise......... Bleccccch ......... Oh yeah I remember I gets TV fer nowt cos mummy lives here & she's over 75 Yay ............ Wouldn't matter anyways ...... I usually sidestep TV licences ..... By getting somone else to cough fer em'

LOL, I got this one several years ago, the one I had snuffed it, so I made sure the new one could do HD as well, no sense in buying something that'll be obsolete in a bit. We get cable so the channels is what there is. We pay extra for the HD ones.

I never understood the paying for a tv license thing, that's BS as far as I'm concerned. You pay to watch commercials? Horse pucky.

Me, I'd rather have Sat. but can't afford it right now. The service is cheaper than cable but the box is dear.

I have a 36" Sony wega, wiv cable tv, had it since 2001, time fer a new one soon, I hope they'll take the old one away coz I don't know what to do with it, it takes two people to move it, and it's a hell of a struggle, you just have to slide it around. A TV full of hernias.
I don't watch it much, but the gf does, so it's worth paying for cable to keep her from bothering me. If there's summink I want to watch. which isn't often, I watch the program then go back to me computer.
When she's not here I sometimes watch it.
