Try some of these....
Move the monitor away from the pc
Move the monitor away from the wall
Try untangling the mains cable
Try untangling the VGA cable
Actual screen shake is normally due to interference, sometimes it is from the maisn supply, other times it can be from the pc itself. Try moving the pc and monitor completely.
Hope it helps.....

Can you try the monitor on another computer and get back to us with the results?

Have you tried adjustung your " Hardware Accelerator" setting in the Graphics box? I had to readjust mine to cure a modem problem and when I have a few windows open my screen will flicker too. Maybe not related but might be worth a try http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Along the same vein as rich's suggestions, try turning the monitor 90 degrees to either side.
Believe it or not, I've known this to help in some cases!

Also, how long is your monitor cable. The longer your cable is, the more likely it is to pick up outside interference.
Have you recently brought any new electrical appliances? Things like microwaves, TV's etc all give off EMF that can cause interference.
I have the PCI version of your video card at home and had similar difficulties.
One thing that helped with my HP monitor is getting an *.inf file update from the HP site and specifically selecting the correct monitor in my hardware settings instead of selecting the standard WIN monitor settings when it can't figure out what you have.
So - you might check out the monitor manufacturer web site to see if they have an updated *.inf file with your monitor in it - then reboot clean - then reselect your monitor - then try the different resolutions -
In the lower resolutions, I either still get shake or wave even after I tried the *.inf update, but that doesn't bother me as I stick to the higher resolutions most of the time.
If you write Voodoo, please post what they say - I'd love to try it at home.
Good luck -

I had that happen to me one time, my problem was interference caused by something as simple as a floresent light I had installed to view the key board. This probly isn't the case with your computer I only mentioned it to let you know that anything might be a possiblity. Good luck Butchk

thanks for all the input.
may have cracked it!(touch wood)
tryed everthing you all suggested.
cables, i sorted them all, but it did not "appear" to help.
turning/moving from place to place the monitor, did alter picture size/shape (strange) but did not help the shake.
i checked/changed drivers/monitor inf files, no change.
then i went into the bios and lowered the i/o voltage by .1 volt (i had it up by .2)
this appeared to make a vast improvement!
then i went back and went through all the refresh rates.from the lowest to the highest
(140)this is sopposed to be supported by the monitor and voodoo!
anyway 100 seems to be best and so far, i'm shake free!!!!!
but wot the problem was i cannot be 100% sure. i just hope it stays ok.
thanks for all your help.

'Had the smae problem with my machines until I put them on a UPS. Seems the power in my house is "dirty" (old wiring). Got me a big fat UPS system and I leave everything on all the time flicker free! Good luck!
