I've got a small problem. A game I'm trying to play has the SHIFT key mapped as one of the controls, which is also one of the most frequently used buttons. Unfortunately, in Windows XP after you press the button five times fast or hold it for five seconds, a little box opens and bothers about StickyKeys. It's quite an annoyance.

The problem I have is I can't remap controls for this game, so I'd like to know if there is any way to stop that action from happening. I looked in Add/Remove Programs to see if there was an option to remove accessibility options, but I didn't see anything (perhaps I've overlooked it).

Any help?

Thanks. :t:)

did you disable stickykeys?

open control panel - accessibility options

On the "Keyboard" tab click the "Settings" button in the "StickyKeys" section.

Uncheck the items in this window and click OK.

Click Apply and OK on Accessibility Options.

No...I assumed that the five keys thing was just some way XP was set to enable it since I've never had a reason to use acc. options. I was wrong to assume. That took care of it.

Thank you. lol. :t
