Outlook 2000

When I "Right Click" on the "Deleted Items" Folder I am given the option to "Empty 'Deleted Items' Folder." This is a handy feature.

Sadly, my "Junk Mail" Folder requires I go into it and Delete the messages manually.

Is there any way to make my "Junk Mail" Folder work like my "Deleted Items" Folder ?

Check if this is a feature on newer versions of Outlook.

It may be. I'm at work now. My home machines all have MS Office 2007.

Still, it should be possible to extend Folder Behavior to other Folders (somehow!).

Not necessarily.

Outlook 2003 has an "empty junk mail folder" option. Can't say that I'd upgrade just to do something it only takes 5 seconds to do manually;)

2003 also has an option to permanently delete the files instead of moving them. You could check and see if you have that option.

Options like this are hard coded into the code
