Posted this over at another bbs with no result. Anyone here got any advice?
New board-new case and PS. Used static strap, 64 Megs ram-AMD 350 After a no boot removed all cards and everything else on MB except
ram and cpu. Still get 2 beeps blank-3 more beeps. Replaced ram and cpu same thing. Rechecked all dip settings and jumper settings.Reset CMOS. Same beeps. Backed ram down to 66 mhz-no help.
Set FSB to 66 to try and remap the ctx core on the cpu. same results. Ram is in slot 3. I think the board is KAPUT but if anyone has
any other ideas I sure would appriciate it.

Try looking at these beep codes' pages

http://www.pctusa.com/pcerror.htm

Chances are your memory is not seated properly (you really have to push them in hard on some mobos!), incompatible, or bad...

Hope this helps.

Well When the memory is removed from the MB I only get 1 beep. I have come to the conclusion that it is the Video card. This was a MB upgrade from a crashed system. There was a CD rewritable in the CD RW that of course could not be removed unless the software is running. I plugged in the CD rewriter hit the eject button and it ejected the CD. So the system must be running except for Video. Crazy way to troubleshoot but worked. |Thank you for the links to the BIOS beep codes
