Got an SBL!Value in this board. It recognizes it and intsalled the drivers, and everything seems like it should work! Bt when I try to play something, its a no go. I try another slot..same deal.
I check for IRQ conflicts...none exist..its got its own IRQ.
I try it in another comp, and it works in it! Put it back and it doesnt.
Try a pair of headphones I know work on the SBL! on the Tyan...no sound.
I have liveware 3, and i also tried with shipping drivers with no luck. I have the latest BIOS and newest Via 4 in 1 drivers.
I think I covered anything, but theres obviously something im missing if its still not working...doesnt anyone have some help they can offer?

My speakers are in the front channels.
There are no conflicts in the device manager..
Do you have the same board and same card?
S1854 Trinity 400?
I use Win98SE

The card I used was the boxed version, with no digital out. I have 2 SBL! cards, and the both cards worked on my main comp, so its not defective...and I put the plugs in the right hole no doubt.

Im prone to stupid mistakes like that (its my life story) so i checked that, and nope its not muted...full volume actually.
Im gunna save this SBL in a static bag for the next system and get my friend the Montego II Quadzilla...hear its real good http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
and vortex 2 cards are supposta work with that board...guess well see if thats the problem or not.
