moderm in a dual boot sys.

hi,
I have dual boot (win98 & NT) install on my sys. If I install the moderm both on win98 & NT. well it work on the both OS. Because, I have try it before. it only seem to work on the first OS you install.
and my next ?. how can I istall the moderm under com3 or com1? or change the com port address?
