Another floppy problem

I removed some hardware from my machine. Now I can access the floppy if I boot directly to it, but not from within Win98 or after shutting down to a prompt. Why?

Hello,

Did you look at the Control panel/system and check the Controller property?
Can you access your floppy if you run under win/dos and if you can, than answer is somewhere in the setup of your windows.
