Is there any softwaRE out to test RAM speed? Let's say you buy a chip from someone and they say it is pc100 ram how do you know? Is there is software you that can test it while it is in the pc? What about by sight if it doesn't say pc100 or something like that on it?

Kenny, I use a program called DIMMID

That seems to be able to make out the specs on most sticks of RAM.

I'm sure there are others as well.

get SANDRA, go to downloads.com (www.downloads.com) and then in the search, type in sandra, then click on the Sisoft Sandra.
