Exactly what I'm looking to be able to do is record gameplay footage from my Xbox 360 onto my computer from my HD Television while I'm playing a game (and I want to be able to take that video after it's captured and then upload it to YouTube). And I want the footage that is captured to my PC to be HD. When I'm playing the Xbox, its on 1080p HD on my Television. So I'm pretty sure all I need to get is some kind of HD Capture Card for my PC and a cable to run from the TV to the capture card, right?

I just dont know exactly what card to get (has to be PCI - cant be PCI-e) and what kind of cable to use (VGA? HDMI? RCA? ect.) because the TV is kind of far away from the TV. And I'm not necessarily looking to capture TV shows or anything like that... basically I just want to be able to capture the Xbox 360 gameplay!

Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you :)

Would this card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815116007) do what I'm looking for?

Also, if I'm able to use this card, what cable(s) would I have to run from the TV for video and audio?

Also, if I'm able to use this card, what cable(s) would I have to run from the TV for video and audio? After doing some additional reading, I'm pretty sure (not 100% ...???) I would be able to use that Hauppauge capture card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815116007) for what I want to do with the Xbox. The television I have is this one (http://www.vizio.com/product.aspx?id=2688&pid=1698) so I think I would just be able to use a S-Video cable and an audio cable and run that from the TV to the PC - would that work? I could be wrong... I'm not good with this stuff!

For the record, I ended up buying a "monsoon multimedia 052507HP HAVA Platinum HD" which will allow me to do exactly what I'm trying to do! :) The captured video isnt true HD, but its very good quality!
