Most of the HP's you disable the on-board video in the bios http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I'm not sure on that particular model - it may require a BIOS change, may require a motherboard jumper change, or, you could just plug in the PCI video card and it may recognize it and abandon the on-board channel - Have you got a system manual for that model? - You can hit the www.hp.com (http://www.hp.com) site and download a copy of one.

Just remember - the HP pavillion line took the place of the NEC Packard Bell basement grade system in the market. I wouldn't expect a lot in the way of changes you can make to it, but then HP's are typically a good brand once you get over the proprietary stuff OEM's do to their systems.

Which Pavillion do you have. Some like my MOM's and my sis's have PII w/100 mhz fsb. They are really OK. In stark contrast my 6350 with 66mhz fsb is what I call a Pavillaturd. Presently it is locked up. Broke. Daid. Kaput. In dire need of about 60 rounds of 7.62x56mm. grrrrr. oh well, hope you have good luck. DrVette1

just delete the drivers in windows and turn off and install your new video car,d HPs do it automatically.
