No more turny on ner ferk all ....... Great :mad:

Its just recently had a new Hdd, DVDROM and a PSU ....... Ok the psu was a few months ago ....... Its geting my poo together to fault find ........ Looks like a upgrade pack will have to be sought ......... Ya know ..... I really canne be acred wiv this :(

It seems to boot partially ...... Well the mach runs for a few secs, after its been off for a goodly while ........ A gettin' too hot somwhere me finks ....... Blech, I'm just guessing really ........ When I can be acred I'll stress sest the psu & try to get it to boot with minimal components connected, if all that fails (Which it will) its new board - chip- & mem ............ Will be able to gettem cheap in Jan sales hopfully :t

Its the drawback to having a 24/7 mach ....... They don't last too long :(

You run UPS on them? If the PSU is new I'd be looking at mobo, etc.

Get a mac JM, OSX is a POS, but it'll run windows, and they don't break as easily as PC's.
I can plug my 3 to 4 yr old imac in, and it'll run after a year collecting dust on the shelf.

Read the small print, might be a JM disclaimer in it somewhere. I know if I sold anything to you, there would be a JM clause in the warranty. :D

I emailed the supplier outlining my plight, he sez (In writing) fer me to bring it back for refund or replacement :)

Bummer on the working

Newegg is US only but they used to ship UPS and since the warehouse is in NJ I'd get my orders next day usually. They change to DHL and now it's been 2 days and the fools shipped it right past me to Boston from NJ. They prolly went by here sometime yesterday. Dunno how long it'll take to get it back this way now. It's only a 2 hour drive to Boston from here, so I figure it'll take a couple days for these dorks. :eek:

I figured cheap ares power supply. I have seen' em spin up for a few and then flop like a fish. One or more of the rails was gone on it. Ya had enough to get some spin, but not enough to boot up.

Buy good stuff and ya don't gotta worry about it. I am running a PC Power and Cooling 750 watt. I only have one 12v rail. :( That rail pumps out 60 amps continuously as needed. ;)

Well to add to the story, I checked the tracking again, they shipped it back past me to a town about 5 miles south of here, and gave it over to the Post Office. I'll never see it now. I hate when they change shippers like that.

Well I dunno bout that BD, but they shipped it to Boston and then back to CT just so they could hand it to the USPS, who will promptly lose or destroy it now, if DHL hasn't already done so. Newegg used to ship UPS and I'd get stuff next day since I'm that close to the warehouse in jersey. WTF is with sending it from NJ to Boston then back to CT to hand it over to another carrier? Waste of time and fuel. Dumb bastuardos. I hope Newegg likes my WTF letter. :mad:

I have the first one I ever built here. An AMD K6 266mhz. I haven't fired it up in a year, but it ran the last time I pushed the power button. Takes forever to boot but then it's running ME. The only thing wrong is the Zip drive died, but since CD's got so cheap, who wants to replace it? Not worth it. I almost hate to toss it out though, it still works,, LOL, Besides, there's some good stuff still on it, I hope.
