how do i find motherboard version? all that is listed is: system devices.i am running compaq presario/5282 w/ w98. have had 3 crashes in past 6 or mths. last crash 2 wks. ago. i am getting errors that I had before last crash. I checked automatic skip driver: PnP Bios:get statically allocated Resource Info. What does this mean? It caused pc to freeze up. Other error: kebugcheckex: called by coo2ab37.error code 44/parameter c 1755230 000/system halted. when I reboot, pc works. Any ideas? Suggestions? Help! I want to return this unit & when I talk to the tech people they blame everything on viruses and tell me to do a restore.

go to compaqs site and look for your model number, it should be listed there what type of motherboard you have.

Also, you can download the sandra sisoft utility, it will tell you almost everything you need to know about your systems hardware.
