I have a end user who is going to be requiring VPN to do work from home. I setup her laptop with VPN and other programs that she'll need. Setup her account on the server and gave her the permissions that she needs. She took the laptop home and tried to login. Error - Can't log on user. Ckeck password and try again...blaaa blaaa. OK I go back to server check name and password - Ok they're correct. Try again.. same thing. I take the laptop home. I login with my admin permissions.. I'm in - no problems. Log back out try hers again.. ERROR.
I login through VPN into the server and reset her permissions and give her "admin" rights just to see if it would work.
Nope
I have given her the same permissions as I have and she still can't login with VPN to our servers but I can.
WHY?? What have I missed?
Granted I am NOT a MCSE or anything close to it, but I sure need another set of eyes on this one.
Thanks guys.

Did you give her Admin rights on the Laptop ? ?
Be sure also that the VPN client is allowed to run in Admin Mode especially if Vista.
Recheck that the correct VPN certificate is loaded onto her laptop.

Yes, She is the only account on this laptop so she is the Admin on the laptop.
Oh yea... We are using Windows XP pro and on the server, Windows Server Standard 2003.
I have blown away her account and recreated it and still I can not logon with her ID and password.:eek:
This is getting to be crazy....

Leave the user account alone and blow the user away.
Problem solved! ....LOL.

Have a look here .. might be some tips there
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/network/bb545442.aspx
It could be that only certain VPN Clients will work with XP Pro & Server 2003
It could also be that the VPN Client needs to be added to the Firewall as an
Exception to allow it to get out to the internet.

Aug... Can't blow here away, shes the company HOTTIE!! :D
Bruce... Don't think that is my problem because I can login with my ID and I have tried with another persons ID and was able to login to the server with their ID. So VPN is working, it's the only VPN we have been using for several years so I know it works.
It's got to be something simple or something very small that I've missed.
Thanks guys...

It that is the case, then the problem must be with the User's VPN certificate.
The computer name in it must match exactly what is on the server side.
Same for the user credentials and certificate expiration dates.
