Problem with 56k modem.

It is a USRobotics 56K Faxmodem PNP(Plug N Play)

The problem is not the installation, but when I want to use it, Windows tells me the Com3(which is my modem port) is OPEN. How do I close it, or what can I do to prevent this???

have you tried updating you modem drivers....? that might help

Well, I have the latest drivers.

Well, I think a got it working. It's downloading like CRAZY!!! 12K and up per seconds....so, I don't think i'll touch it...
