I have a 486 based system which has the BIOS password protected which I don't have it. Is there anyway to delete or get around it? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks JJ Axel 02-01-2000, 02:15 PM you either need to short the cmos back to default with a jumper, or you need to pop the motherboard battery to get the password to disappear - either way - you'll end up re-detecting all of your equipment and reloading the drivers most likely. That's the way to get around a BIOS password. psyklone 02-01-2000, 02:28 PM you can also use DEBUG to blow out a BIOS password, as long as you can get to DOS or a boot diskette with the DEBUG command on it. JJ 02-01-2000, 02:33 PM I'm not familar with DEBUG. How can I use it? Thanks JJ SysOpt.com
