I am having a problem with my internal IDE Zip drive that I hope someone can solve. Ever since I installed an Asus P3B-F Motherboard my Zip drive won't be recognized on a cold boot. However, if I perform a warm reboot it will be recognized. Maybe 10% of the time it will be there on a cold boot. It worked fine with an Intel SE440BX Mobo. Any ideas? I flashed the Bios and updated the IomegaWare driver but no difference. Thank You!

Strange one.
You really shouldn't have to install the Iomega software to make it work. I never have.
Check the cable on the back and make sure it is secure.
Other than that.....

If your using the Iomega software, Iomega reccomends disabling the drive in the bios because it's the software that loads with windows that should be controlling the drive.
Note that I've never had to do that with any of mine, but thats what it says in the book.
I have had problems like you say and what I did was run the program "guest" thats in the Iomega tools. After guest picks up the drive with the correct letter you want, (say it's drive "D") go into device manager and under the zip drive, manually set the start and ending drive letters to both "D" and re-boot.
Hope this helps
