Yeah when I put a blank Cd in I get that message. It only happens when I put a Cd in and I try to burn it. It doesnt do anything but give the message. The software is uptodate. But I am not sure what you mean by what kind of version.

Hmm, what software you using? And what model of H.P.Writer(ie) 7200i or 9100i or what?
Thats a new error to me got lots of errors before but thats a new one.Try uninstalling all your cdr software and reinstall,go to adaptecs web site and get the ASPIchk utility
to see if your ASPI is up to date and running correctly.If its not get the newest ASPI drivers from adaptec or at the H.P. web site.
