I tried looking for the drivers for this mobo. All I found were websites that charge you to download them. This is probably a 6 year old barebones case mobo. I am building it for a coworkers grandma who will probably only surf or might use email. Not much beyond that I think. Anyways...I would appreciate any help on this one. Thank you in advance. Bye for now. :D

You need to search by the chipset, video, and audio manufacturer. You didn't say which OS, but you can start by going to the VIA site.

Hmm. I assumed you had googled for soyo's website. You know what happens when you "assume". :p

Would those drivers be ok for this mobo? The board was sold sometime around 2000 yet those drviers were released on 2002-2004. Are drivers updated that long after the release of a mobo? I can try them I just dont know how successful I will be with them. I appreciate it tho even if they dont' work. It's worth a try in my book.

Try them, they should work fine since WinXP didn't come out until late 2002.

2-4 year isn't that long and yes they update the drivers. The driver disc you get with the motherboard is outdated by the time you get it.
