I use Microsoft Office Accounting 2008 (free version) on an XP Pro PC. I understand it utilises a cut-down version of MYSQL which I believe is the cause of the problem.
When I shut down Windows a box appears on screen titled DBUG with the message "Test Signal" and an OK button. Windows will not shut down until the button is clicked.
I've searched Google for the error but, to be honest, the answers relate to MYSQL and I am not familiar enough with databases to understand them.
Anyone else use MOA and have this problem?
In a possibly related issue, I use Acronis TrueImage 10.0 for backup and have created a batch file with the following
shutdown /l /c /y
and instructed Acronis to run it after backup. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work. Windows doesn't shut down at all. If I run it manually all it does is log me off. Is there any way to shut down my PC completely after backup (obviously I'm not there to do it manually).
Apologies if this should be two separate threads.
