i cannot find iconrestore after installing on my winxp-pc. on my w2k i could see it after right-clicking on "arbeitsplatz". thanks

What the heck is "arbeitsplatz" mean?

There is no iconrestore function in XP.

iconrestore is a third party app. You'll have to reinstall it.

arbeitsplatz(german for working place)= my computer
i could find the solution on majorgeeks.

XP Users: It may be necessary to access "Save Desktop Icon Layout" & "Restore Desktop Icon Layout" from the Recycle Bin. This is because you are using a 'shortcut' as opposed to a 'system' icon for 'My Computer'.
