Or Do the fone companies make fones just for the Nth American market Or what ? leprechaun_40 08-25-2008, 10:21 AM I don't know :( j.m@talk 08-25-2008, 10:34 AM What Make & model fone ya got ? ........ I'll read up on it :D Boring as Bat Shizz Bumf on GSM to read (http://www.thetravelinsider.info/roadwarriorcontent/quadbandphones.htm) Well they say GSM the G standing for Global ......... But it should be Global except for North America cos once again they have bucked the trend & gone for the cheap option...... But I guess the acronym would be too long & need a acronym itself  leprechaun_40 08-25-2008, 11:02 AM I gots a Motorola V3 t razr j.m@talk 08-25-2008, 11:07 AM Yeah ..... Its Quad band that ...... Theys quite dear Quad band fones here still ...... Well I say dear £100 ....... as against £30 for a dualband..... which is good for anywhere bar Nth Merica (& Japan/Sth Korea) Traa Laaa laaa :t drewster 08-25-2008, 11:10 AM I have an LG cu575 or trax it comes up on 3G on the screen but I think it's quad too ? leprechaun_40 08-25-2008, 11:10 AM Tiz a nice phone, looks cool too. Like the bluetooth head set so I can use it hands free. One little irritation is that it shows the time, but not the date. Yep, no month and day thing. I find that an oddity. Looking to find a hack for it too. Yup, there's hacker sites for it, LOL j.m@talk 08-25-2008, 11:20 AM http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg303/mmmmmjm/fone001.jpg I got this Samsung off of the Bay just over a year ago ....... Works fine..... I can't get on with those blootoof headsets ...... If you have em on all day..... I found they used to make my ear ache ..... Plus the batts in the headsets are poo.... I gotta Nokia Blootoof adaptor (CK-7W) ya mount behind the dash & it comes on wiv the accessories when ya turns tha key ........ Problem is if ya fone is in ya back pocket & ya drivin along, the reception can be poor due to the signal having to fight its way out from under ya acre ;) leprechaun_40 08-25-2008, 11:23 AM Yeah, I have the same problem with the ear piece, makes it sore after a while. I usually only use it when driving, so I take it off when walking, etc. Battery seems to be good though. Never tried one of those thingys for the car. I don't need my phone that much. No one calls me :( j.m@talk 08-25-2008, 11:26 AM Well its handy fer the pervo lines :D They ain't that dear if ya gets em' used off of tha bay ....... Three wires + Perm -neg +Switched ..... Then plug in the mic, speaker & a lil button ...... Which ya mount with sticky velcro stuff...... The cops rain helll on ya here if ya not hands free :( leprechaun_40 08-25-2008, 11:28 AM Well, we's sposed to be hands free here, but the cops seem to be retarded and not notice some shizz head with a phone stuck to his ear. I'd like to be able to shoot all of em as I drive by. j.m@talk 08-25-2008, 11:31 AM Well its kinda tight here, when ya on the city orbital motorway ten feet from the car in front doing 85mph & the dozy cow is on to her mates about a new handbag she just bought........ 60Million people stuck on a lil island ....... It gets a bit spooky somtimes :t leprechaun_40 08-25-2008, 11:33 AM Well, here in the east coast, there's way too many warm bodies, and none of them have a clue as to how to pilot a motor vehicle, adding a fone to the ear seems to lower the IQ into negative numbers too. Can't wait to go west, they drive a tad better and are fewer in numbers. j.m@talk 08-25-2008, 11:36 AM Yeah a moderately trained baboon could pass the US driving test ;) leprechaun_40 08-25-2008, 11:38 AM I think that some states fore go the training. It's really bad these days. Some people think driving is a right, not a privilege. j.m@talk 08-25-2008, 11:51 AM I've had loadsa training for this & that: Car, car with trailer, Bus, Bus with trailer, Bendi Bus, Up to 7.5 T truck... Ohh fork truck on rough terrain etc etc ...... & I still hate parking cars ;) anything else fine ...... Cars umm no fanx ;) That takes some skill to go thro all that & still be fairly useless :D Lgbpop 08-25-2008, 02:05 PM What's the reason for the initial inquiry? We're 50 different states, under one common federal government for international purposes - but we're still fifty different states. Why the heck should we be all the same? You're not the same as Belgians; Floridians aren't the same as Californians. They have their laws, we have ours.
