I don't usually turn my Vista mach off ....... I put it in to sleep if I need it to shut up for any reason ..... Anyways I tried getting it to reboot earlier ..... New Rodent drivers & all that ..... & It kinda stopped with the message ..... Umm well I can't remember what the message was, but it was summink like "Ya comp is shutting down" ...... Anyways I left it fer a hour & it was still there doing ferk all ..... So I pressed reset & it came up as normal ...... Tried a switch it off & it got stuck again ...... What ya fink I should do bout that ?

I probably should sort it out sooner rarther than later :t

Suggestions ??????????? :(

sounds to me like a powersave issue is causing havoc with your shutdown, either that or you have some process hanging preventing shutdown...My advice would be to screw vista and go back to win95... :D

Do a hard reboot, then go into powersaving and disable sleep and hibernate. M$ have never gotten those right. If you want to conserve resources, set the monitor to turn off after 20 minutes of unattended operation. It'll come right back on when you move the mouse.
