help with firmware update please hp laptop

yet again i seek advise but only because i find good advice here so if posible could someone help me with this problem.

i have a hp pavilion laptop model dv9000 aka dv9280ea

it has a samsung TS-L632N dvd drive installed.

im trying to use nero 8 using nerovision to make a dvd . it creates dvd ok but when i try play stand alone dvd player it freezes.

could anyone advice what to do please .

ps i have tried winavi and it works fine so it must be the samsung drive i guess

cheers mate however i have read that thread and i notice some people mention something about location , like (Location : 1:0) my location is 0:0 so im not sure if it will work or not i dont want to damage me drive at all

You can change the location up to 5 times manually. It won't "break" anything.
