Dadgum it... why don't batteries just recharge!?

I get sick of clocks on comps losing time, everyone says its the battery going bad, well why don't they just make em where they recharge?

The system dose recharge them. unless it is a battry that is just to old or going dead. just try and leave the system on for a few days and see what happenends. it that dosen't fix it. the battry is on its last clock tick

NiCad rechargables can develop a "memory" where they get down so low they just stop working, even tho they still have enough voltage to work. Don't know about the alkaline ones.

I hear that those who don't maintain their own machines pay shops lotsa $$ to replace those. So it's a matter of where you are in the food chain...
