Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : MCSE - first exam to take?
Trying to get a general consensus here... which of the CORE exams should I take as a beginning to the NT 4.0 MCSE track? I'd want it to be a good one for MCP so none of those WIN95/98 exams /forum/smile.gif Hope I didn't offend anyone. Anyway, which of these would be a good choice - Networking Essentials, NT 4.0 Server or Workstation? Please tell me what you've heard about them if anything at all. Thanks people!

If you want to get your MCP first, NT Workstation 4.0 is probably a good start, others may have a different opinion, just giving you mine. Networking Essentials does not make one an MCP, but, it is one of the tests that you need to complete on the road to getting your MCSE. After you take the NT Workstation test, immediately take the server test after going through the prep material that you will use for that test, there are a lot of similarities between the two except the Server test has more registry questions, good luck.
