I have serveral problems. When playing games on line, a fatel error occurs all the time or I freeze. The fatel error reads. IExplore caused an invalid page fault in moudule MSAWT.DLL at 0137:7c3993f3. Then when running a cd it says that my INSTALL.EXE is corrupted, When trying to look into my AUTOEXEC.BAT it says it's corrupted or a file is missing. Can anyone help?? I had your help before and it fixed some of the problems.
I've got two suspects -
Long overdue scandisk & defrag, or perhaps a system virus.
If the impacted files have become cross-linked on your hard drive, there is about a 20% chance a scandisk & defrag ( start - accessories - system tools ) might fix the issue and all will be okay - if not, then you've cleaned up your hard drive and are ready to re-install the impacted files again.
Anything called install.exe being in the autoexec.bat file has me worried - what are you installing each & every time you restart your system?? - That doesn't sound right. If you've had your computer for any length of time, you've probably got half a dozen copies of "install.exe" on your computer from various different software loads. - Unless you have a file path identifying exactly what that file is looking for, it'll be difficult to identify.
I'd open up autoexec.bat with c:\windows\notepad.exe and "rem" out the reference to install.exe until you figure that out.
Next - if you are running a copy of norton anti-virus, look down a few subjects on the board and follow the link I posted to the www.symantec.com (http://www.symantec.com) home page to get the latest virus definitions. Download and run the definition installer - then fire up the norton program and do a virus sweep of your computer. - turn off your internet connection and go get a coke & a smile - a thorough search might take a while if you have a large hard drive.
I hope your system doesn't have a virus.
If it turns out to be a fragmented harddrive issue, and you leave your system running most of the time anyway, you might check under <my computer> and <task scheduler> and set your system to auto scandisk and defrag once a week or so to maintain your hard drive. You can also launch norton from here. If you have an older version of win95, it might be a good idea to obtain a copy of the win95 plus! pack and use system agent (sage.exe) to do the same thing.
Post your results here and a few more details about your system ( who made it - win95 or 98, or something else, etc. etc. )
I like to hear how things worked out.

Are you running Internet Explorer 5?
The Properties for msawt.dll say it's an AWT library for Java. The means very little to me, but it does suggest that the file might be an incorrect version, or corrupted. I'd goto control panel/add remove programs, and find microsoft internet explorer, and click the add remove button. You should have a "repair option".
This usually won't fix the prob, but it will come to a point where it will say it can't be repaired, and you'll have a details button. Click it and check out the info. If my guess is right, you'll see a couple dll files are the wrong version. This means that the last install of IE went bad, uninstall it and reboot, then reinstall.
If it finds no problems with IE under the repair option, then I'm wrong.
