paypal-ebay-creditcard needed?

a us-citizen told me i do not need a credit-card to execute payment. but at paypal-registration a creditcardno is needed... there were big discussions on the net about certain countries trying this out and stopped.

if i must pay from bank to bank(without creditcard) i need IBAN no and SWIFT-code.

You do not need a credit card but you need to give them a Valid bank account and they verify it by depositing a small sum of money.

After you get the money you have to log on and provide details about the deposit.

After you setup your Paypal account using a bank account, you can use paypal as a virtual credit card for sites outside of ebay.

this is partly wrong.
i could register but at right side it says: to do:register and confirm creditcard to get the verification of removing paypal-account-limits.

paypal is working without creditcard. i will have to give my bank informations to load money to my paypal-account. btw: i received a strange mail -with link to here.but maybe it had been stopped before or just when it popped up here. who is webmaster here?
