Quick question: I burned a CD and it works on other CD drives. It does not work though on my Gateway PC. The drive i a 8 speed from Toshiba?
Any leads why that is?
Thank you

"Some CD-ROM drives' lasers, especially older ones, may not be calibrated
to read recordable [CD-R] CDs."
"CD-RW discs can only be read on CD players that support the new
MultiRead specification. Even DVD-ROM drives, which themselves use the
UDF file format, need a dual-wavelength head to read CD-RW."

It could be the brand of blank CD you used. Some drives simply don't like some brands.
