We have and inter-office, NT server set-up and are using Iomega "Ditto" tape drive for back-up on the main server. It is making tape-working noises and the tape light is blinking, but is only "initializing", not backing up or moving data. The error says "missing address mark, error 5154". We have tried new tapes, re-booting...It was working before, and now it isn't.....

Ideas?

Thanks in Advance.

Are the tapes off the spindle?? Like the tape has rewound to far?? If so, I might be able to help.

Check out iomegas website. Those drives if I am not mistakes, had some type of problem. Iomeag was sued for that. You can read about it on their site.
