I'm looking for a monitor(s) mainly so when I play 6-8 tables at a time online playing poker I don't have to squint to see what the cards are. I do some mild gaming, nothing I really need a jammed up monitor for (Mainly UT2004).
The tables are stretched horizontal, so have to get to Widescreen.

Just checking to see if anyone bought something lately they thought was a good value.

I went on Newegg and the Acer AL2216W - 22" LCD Monitor had the best feedback.
Found the best price here: Buy.com (http://www.buy.com/prod/acer-al2216w-22-lcd-monitor-700-1-1680x-1050-5ms-dvi/q/loc/101/202892776.html)
I've never bought from them before, but have atleast heard of them.

I'm thinking of buying 2 of these, would like to spend under $600 for whatever I get.

WOW... looks like a lot of people percentage wise doesn't like dealing with buy.com

Thx Train, if this is the monitor I get, I think I'll pay a couple more bucks somewhere else.

I'm seeing some mixed reviews out there. I like Samsungs, but they're probably priced a bit higher.

These should help you get a feel for the competition:

Thanks for all the good links Midknyte, I think I'm going to buy 2 different monitors. One being the Acer and the other maybe a Samsung. The Samsungs run about $100 more but it would be nice for any games or vids since I'll being using only one monitor at a time for that.

Ended up going with 2 SAMSUNG 2263BW (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001268) and Newegg with free shipping. Got it for dead on $600.

Besides Newegg, I like Mwave the best. They're second only because their website is so jumbled it's a pain to find things, but their service is excellent. Here's that Acer 2216 for $212 and free shipping.

Newegg and MWave are the only places i order form these days myself. I get the MWave promos and ads everyday on my email. lately they seem to have quite alot of great deals on HW choices.. I just ordered a 'cooler; from NewEgg last week, and if not for needing that, I would have gotten a HD from MWave for sure.

Yes.., I was awfully impressed with thier service and even delivery time and info as pertaining to, when i ordered some things a ways back. In town here, that montior can be had for about $230.00. Take shipping into account and its a toss up really. I guess it all depends upon where one lives. All i can say is mine is flawless. No dead pixels. Not quite as flashy as some, but i like that TBH. The clean look baby :p :x ;)
