Copy Protected CD's?

Are some CD's copy protected so you cant burn them? Ive tried to copy a few games lately and they seem to copy and install fine but when I try to play them, its a no go. I know its not the burner because I can copy data(applications etc) with no problem. Its just these latest games that are giving me the problem.

I'm not sure what the general policy is on this board about copying games, but seeing as so many people have burners and are putting questions it cannot be to unfavourable. (you are just making a back up of your own games though aren't you! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif ).
go to www.gamecopyworld.com (http://www.gamecopyworld.com) and they might have some advice on the particular game you are having diffiulty with.

You may also want to do a search for a program called CloneCD. It's supposed to be real good for duplicating protected CDs for making backups. Hope this helps...
