I have a cheetah hard drive model number ST173404LCV. My problem is, I need to know what kind of ribbon does this hard drive take? It does not take the standard ribbon.

Midknyte 05-10-2008, 04:26 PM cheetahs are SCSI drives. you'll need a SCSI adapter card along with a new cable. http://www.impediment.com/seagate/s2000/spec_173404lcv.shtml BipolarBill 05-10-2008, 07:27 PM If the drive is used or discarded, you should just shelve it. A SCSI card will cost you at least $150. The cable costs another $25. For all that, you will likely get a drive that's slower than a Raptor and much harder to configure. It will be noisier too.
