Mic died ?

Ok I have Diamond Monster Sound (original) on this machine and after some time the mic I used stopped working... I've tried several others.. same result. Now it didn't stop working completely.. when you use it.. you can only get VERY low sound levels and those are 99% noise... now its not the mic.. because as I've said I tried many.. it's doubtfull that sound card drivers have anything to do with it (same ones as when mic did work). I thought that the mic port was somehow damaged or such.. tried moving the mic jack around.. no apparent result.

Any suggestions?

Check your sound levels. The Mic may be muted.
