I think of it, in part, as self preservation - the more accessible I make definition updates to our little community, the more likely they are to perform updates....

If you have the Norton " Live Update" is this patch not included in the download???? My current protection matches the 'creation' date. Don't want to download something I already have or will it tell me the upgrade is not necessary??? Little confused, as usual. Any input appreciated http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Hi pickel, those are the latest virus definitions - they are the same you get via LiveUpdate. Some ppl prefer to grab it off the site.

It's still a good idea to visit the site regularly to see if there's a later release of the "inline patch" which updates the scanner portion (I believe) of the AV ware itself.
