Anyone know owt' bout Passats ?

Got one & the lil electronic valve that controls the evap canister tube ........ Thingi ...... Anyway this valve is ticking ....... I guess it shouldn't ...... Umm well I dunno to be honest ........ Sounds like a dodgy tapet ...... But au contraire my old friend ...... Twas this valve ....... Car runs fine ....... Car even runs fine if I take the wire off to stop the tapping...... I guess its connected to the Computer thingumi .... ECS/EMU whatever ....

I'm sure the 1976 Passat I once owned didn't have a gizmo like that on the engine.
But it was a great little car without one. I don't think it had an evap cannister either? :x
