Is there any difference between regular cdrom discs and audio cdrom discs. I've heard people say that the audio type discs are made for recording audio music and give a better sound quality. I've told them, I think there is no difference on audio quality output. I read that they were made for the home audio stand alone recoders years ago. So has anyone heard if there is actually a difference on the audio quality.

There is no real difference - never was. It's pure marketing.

The old boombox I bought 15 years ago played just about every cd i threw at it. That was way back in the day before they even tried to market "audio" cds.
