DDR2 RAM won't work in a Socket 478 mobo - none that I ever heard of, anyway.
I have a Compaq OEM Socket 478 mobo with Pentium 4 2.8GHz Prescott CPU and Intel heatsink/fan unit that I'll sell for $75 plus shipping (about $13 via Priority Mail in USA). I was going to eBay it but you can have first crack at it. The mobo is an Asus P4SD without the AGP slot, basically. See pic and link to a just-ended listing (mine) for the CPU (I had 6 of them).

Ya that BioStar for $55 shipped
Looks like the winner.

I was sorta hoping someone had a parted out left over

A 478 mobo for $20? There are probably a few out there, worth every cent you pay for them too. :D
