Help me my soyo via chip set mobo is messed up!

I got a question I have a soyo 6VBA+133 and I installed the bus master drivers, now everything's working dandy but when I go to try to burn a cd it does jack!!! I just does nothing.. can some one please tell how to fix this.. I tried updateing but when I did that the secondary ide went in to a conflict even though there is none

Ok, now I will try to answer this since it has a new title. A little more info would be nice. What burning program, what os, what cd burner (ide/scsi/usb). If it is ide and you have it on the secondary channel try putting it on the primary. Is the drive even showing up in explorer? can you read from it?
