in system properties the ! sign is next to the aforementioned on booting up it causes the system not to boot up first time . sometimes the system will only go to safe mode and it takes a good 7 or 8 attempts to
run properly
what is the power management for and how can i fix it without haveing to reinstall?
You should be able to enable/disable apm in your bios.
Also try booting into safe mode (f8) and check the control panel settings for power management.
There is also a small chance that you have a faulty power supply with the power-save features/circuits not working as they should.
But given that control panel indicates a software conflict - it's probably not a power supply hardware issue.
Does the error flag give you any details you can post here??
