MS Office 2000/Omnipage problems

Any clues as to why Office 2K will not initiate Omnipage 8/9/10 when Acquire Text is clicked. OCR Aware is OK. Scanner works in Omnipage, paste to clipboard and import to Office 2K, but not from Acquire Text. MSG comes up 'Omnipage not responding'.

Textbridge is OK but I want to use OP10

Wordperfect 2000 also freezes on Acquire Text.

Scanner is Agfa 1212 USB and gives no problems apart from OCR'ing.
